The path is easy, with very little unevenness and does not reach 6 km. On the way back you can come from where you came or take the bus in Soldeu, which passes by every hour. Travel through the culture in the Thyssen Museum of Andorra This is a plan for the beginning of September, as you will only be able to see this annual exhibition until the 6th. It is about: “Influencers” in art, from Van Goyen to Pop art. With a total of 27 works, three of them are sculptures, it makes a review along the history and different artists to show how they have influenced the world of art. Natural park of the Sorteny Valley This jewel of nature is located in the parish of Ordino at an altitude of 1,880 metres, towards the Arcalís ski slopes. Its beauty makes it a unique place to enjoy the landscape and the local fauna and flora. In the park you will find different tracks of different levels, accessible for families with children as well as for mountain lovers. There is also the possibility of booking them with professional guides. If you feel like taking a walk in the mountains, we recommend you to go to the Estret de l’Estanyó viewpoint, which is 1 hour away, to watch the different types of birds. Both are ascents of about 1000 meters and about 3 hours, approximately. Comapedrosa Natural Park It is located in the parish of La Massana, coming from the village of Arinsal. The park has a total protected area of about 15 km2 and also offers a number of mountain routes, of different levels. From here you can reach the highest peak in Andorra: the Comapedrosa at 2,942 metres. One of its attractions is to discover its rich biodiversity around the park, while crossing forests, lakes and waterfalls. On the way you will also find several guarded refuges. In addition, you can also make excursions on horseback, if you prefer. From the Comapedrosa interpretation centre, you can get information about the park and hire guided tours if you wish. It is an itinerary that will take you all over the country, to easily accessible places where you will find these funny characters. Are you coming? The route of the Tamarros This summer go out with your children to explore the seven parishes of Andorra to find Tamarros. You will have a great time discovering magnificent corners and the children will get a reward. The job is very easy: you just have to go to the Tourist Office, where they will give you a card with the directions. Every time you find a Tamarro you will have to mark it with a special stamp. When you have collected all seven, you will have to show the notebook at the tourist office to receive your reward. To discover the hiding place of these magical beings, you only have to walk a small mountain road until you find it. A hint: they are very close to picnic areas and points of interest. It is the perfect excuse to enjoy nature and breathe fresh air with the whole family. The routes are suitable for all ages (even with very young children) as the distances are short. The Tamarros need your help And also that of the youngest ones. The Tamarros are the protectors of nature and of the forests of the Pyrenees, who fight against a troll called “Brutícia” (dirt). Their mission is to prevent the mountains from being filled with dirt and to keep the flowers, water and animals safe from it. In August you will be able to vibrate again in Andorra with the Andorra Mountain Music, an international musical festival, unique and in the open air, featuring great names of music. Andorra Mountain Music Get ready to enjoy great performances under the stars in an amazing setting surrounded by mountains at 1,800 meters. On Saturdays in August, the Soldeu platform becomes a luxury stage for 5 unique concerts. The festival’s line-up includes international artists such as the singers Mónica Naranjo and Beret, the DJs Don Diablo and the Frenchman Bob Sinclair or the legendary English rock group Texas. Andorra Mountain Music will conclude on September the 5th, in the capital, with the soprano Ainhoa Arteta. An open-air music festival The August concerts will take place in the village of Soldeu, located in the parish of Canillo, just at five minutes by car from the hotel. The stage that has been chosen to celebrate the festival is part of the same one that hosted the finals of the Alpine skiing world cup. It is the platform that was built in 2018 at the end of the Avet slope in the Grandvalira ski resort. The last performance, by Ainhoa Arteta, will be more intimate and will be held in the Plaça del Consell General, located in the historic centre of Andorra la Vella. With all the security measures The festival will be held with strong security measures, to prevent COVID from spreading. The Soldeu platform, which covers 10,000 square metres, has a capacity for 40,000 people, but will only accommodate 4,000 to guarantee social distance. In addition, at the entrance to the festival, masks will be handed out, which will be compulsory. For the last concert, a maximum capacity of only 400 people is foreseen. In addition, the use of the mask is mandatory for the staff attending the public but also for the rest. Likewise, they will receive the necessary PPE adapted to each job. For our guests, too, they are mandatory inside the hotel, in all common areas and in the restaurant until they are seated at the table. Inside the rooms, of course, they are not mandatory while you are alone with your family. On the other hand, the restaurant menus will disappear, by law, and will be available online by downloading a QR. Cleaning and disinfection measures To prevent the spread of Covid-19, we have increased the cleaning of the common areas, the rooms and all the areas of the hotel. We have intensified the disinfection of the objects of greater contact such as door handles, railings, switches, doors, remote controls… We also use more effective viricide products to disinfect. We have adopted these measures following the recommendations of the Andorran Ministry of Health and we will revise them according to the evolution of the pandemic. Summer outdoor activities At the moment the idea is to open El Mon(t) Magic, an adventure park with lots of activities to do with the whole family and the Golf in Soldeu, the highest in Europe. They are located in Grandvalira very close to the hotel. And if your passion is mountain biking, you can probably enjoy it at the Pal Bike Park, in Vallnord station. At the moment, we do not know the timetables or the type of activities that will be available. But what we do know is the safety measures to prevent the spread of covd19. Surely the capacity will be limited to respect the safety distance, from 1.5 to 2 metres. Chairlifts and gondolas for access to the activities will only be used by a maximum of two people and they will be disinfected after each use. Activities for all tastes Caldea will be a point of interest that you will surely not miss this summer. Its thermal waters and the rest of the facilities could reopen their doors to enjoy bathing after this period of obligatory stop.
