Grandvalira is the ideal ski resort for families. It offers a wide variety of options for the little ones to learn to ski or improve their technique. On the slopes you’ll find several themed circuits created especially for children up to the age of 12, where they’ll have fun while perfecting their skiing skills. In this article we tell you what they are like and where you can find them to liven up your skiing days with your children.
Grandvalira’s themed circuits
There are 4 different circuits spread throughout all the areas of the resort. They are themed circuits, with obstacles and different routes where children up to 12 years of age can ski. There is no extra cost, they are included in the price of the ski pass.
The Bababoom Circus
Located in the El Tarter sector, this is the closest circuit to the hotel. It is a 500-metre space inspired by the world of the circus, made up of various tests and obstacles. It is designed for children to ski with a monitor (service with charge) or an adult. Throughout the course, as the child passes through the obstacles, he/she will hear the noise of the circus animals.
The Mon(t) Magic
The family park in the Canillo sector is decorated with characters from the legends of Andorra. It has a themed track specially designed for children between 3 and 8 years old, with three different areas: initiation, progression and high level. It also offers other children’s activities, a restaurant where you can wait for your children while they have a great time, the Grandvalira zip line and the Magic Gliss (two activities you can enjoy as a family when they finish skiing).
Yokai Circuit
This is the children’s circuit in the Soldeu sector. It has a total length of 646 metres and is inspired by the capercaillie, an animal native to the Pyrenees. It can be reached from the Espiolets area, via the Esparver and Ós slopes.
The Kids Forest
These circuits are located in Encamp, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa. They are ideal areas for the little ones to put on skis in their first days. There are 3 levels divided by age from 3 to 11 years old and are identified by characters in the shape of animals.
