Snow activities in Andorra to make the most of the last days of the season

The snow season is entering its final stretch, but March is a great time to enjoy the mountains. Longer days, pleasant temperatures and landscapes as spectacular as ever.
If you want to say goodbye to winter as it deserves, here is a selection of snow activities, beyond skiing, perfect to enjoy with the family in Andorra.

Mushing in Grau Roig: a must before the thaw

As spring progresses, this activity becomes even more exclusive, as it depends entirely on the condition of the snow.
Book a dog sled ride through the paths and forests of the Grau Roig sector. You can book the excursion for 2 adults and add up to 2 children and choose a route from 2 to 5 km, depending on your preference. Mushing is a snow activity that gains more followers every year; if you haven’t tried it yet, this is a great opportunity.
Exploring snowy forests on a dog sled is one of the most magical snow activities.

Snowmobiles: for the more adventurous

Another of the most popular activities in Andorra is snowmobile tours. It is a guided excursion accompanied by an instructor, lasting 1 hour or 30 minutes. Each snowmobile can carry a maximum of 2 people (including accompanied minors, who do not drive). Guided excursions remain a perfect option for those seeking adrenaline and spectacular landscapes with a more spring-like light.

Snowshoeing excursion

If you miss doing sports in the snow, this activity is ideal and you can also enjoy it with your family, even if your children are young. You will discover areas beyond the ski slopes and venture into snowy forests. You can choose different routes and durations. March is ideal for snowshoeing because there are more daylight hours and the mild temperatures make the experience even more enjoyable.

Family sledding: guaranteed fun

If you are looking for a different and very fun activity for the whole family, Snake Gliss is an ideal option for these last days of the season.
It consists of a set of articulated sleds that descend from Pla d’Espiolets to the village of Soldeu, following slopes such as Astoret, Ós and Bosc Fosc.
It is an après-ski activity, as it takes place at the end of the day, when the slopes are already closed, with an instructor guiding the descent.
It is suitable for children over 3 years old (minors must be accompanied by an adult) and is perfect for both families and groups who want to say goodbye to the snow with laughter and adrenaline.

Building an igloo as a family: learning through play in the snow

Accompanied by an expert instructor, both adults and children will learn step by step the traditional techniques to build a snow shelter, turning the experience into an educational and very fun game.
It takes place in the Grau Roig area, at the Adventure Activities Center, and is ideal for sharing quality time with children in a unique natural environment.
A different way to enjoy the snow in March, combining learning, fun and teamwork.

Après-ski on mountain terraces

One of the great attractions of March is enjoying terraces on the slopes.
Having a drink in the sun with views of the snow is the perfect plan to relax while skiing or after a day in the snow. The atmosphere is livelier and more spring-like.

The best time to say goodbye to the season

If you haven’t visited yet, you are still in time to enjoy the last days of the season in Andorra.
