Discover the best dates for skiing in Andorra

This year, 1 December marks the official start of the ski season in Andorra. Undoubtedly, one of the most eagerly awaited times to visit the Principality is during the long weekend of the Constitution and the Christmas, New Year and Epiphany holidays. These dates are very busy, as people take advantage of these festivities to spend their holidays in the snow.
However, between the long weekend and the holidays there are two weeks left which are ideal for skiing in Andorra at a more leisurely pace. During this period, there is less traffic on the ski slopes, so you can ski in a more relaxed way, without the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

Skiing in Grandvalira
Grandvalira, the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees, offers an unbeatable experience with its 240 kilometres of slopes. And during these two magical weeks, the tourist crowds are fewer, which means fewer queues on the lifts and more space to enjoy the snow.
Imagine gliding down the Grandvalira slopes without having to wait to get on the chairlift. It’s the perfect time to explore all areas of the resort, from the easiest sections for beginners to the challenging descents for experts.

Snow activities also in December
The resort also offers a wide range of activities to enjoy the snow in addition to skiing and snowboarding. There is always something for everyone, young and old alike. Choose between more recreational or more sporting options, adapted to your preferences and level. Explore the resort’s landscapes on snowshoes, enjoy a dog sled ride or get your adrenaline pumping on a snowmobile. Or put yourself to the test on the Mon(t) Magic zip line, among many other proposals.

When the slopes close, the fun continues
The options are also diverse. From relaxing in the thermal waters of Caldea if you need a quieter plan (where you can also book a massage) to staying on the slopes and enjoying the night-time activities offered by the resorts, or going shopping (a must in Andorra). And of course, don’t forget to visit the most famous après-ski centre in Andorra: l’Abarset, near the Tarter hotel.

Ski and hotel offer at the foot of the slopes
After an exciting day on the slopes, you can relax in the Tarter hotel and savour the delicious Andorran gastronomy. During these two weeks, you will find special offers with hotel and ski pass in Grandvalira.

The ski season in Andorra offers different times to enjoy the slopes, from the excitement of the busiest dates to the peace and quiet of the weeks in between. Whichever option you choose, skiing in Andorra is always an unforgettable experience that combines the thrill of gliding across the snow with the beauty of the alpine landscapes.
