5 original ideas in Grandvalira in the December

Are you all set for the first long weekend of the season? To celebrate Grandvalira’s reopening on 3 December with all the facilities up and running, here are 5 original ideas to open the season in style.

Discover another way to go down the slopes with Snake Gliss
To carry out this plan you’ll have to head to the Soldeu sector when the ski slopes close and once there’s no one left, the fun begins! You’ll enjoy yourself like a child sliding down the slopes of Soldeu on an articulated sledge driven by a monitor, going over different trails that you might have skied down during the day. This is the ideal activity for children aged 3 and over.

Be the first to hit the snow
In Grandvalira you have the opportunity to ski practically alone and be one of the first to slide down the snow. All you have to do is get up a little earlier and you’ll be able to experience this unique sensation. The “first snow” activity takes place from 8h to 9h, you must have purchased the ski pass and have a medium to high level of skiing. From the hotel El Tarter we can help you with the booking and purchase of this activity.

Discover Grandvalira from the heights
Can you imagine seeing the mountains and the snowy landscape from the air? It’s an excellent idea to start the season and discover the resort. You’re sure you’ve never seen it from this panoramic view before.

Get your adrenaline pumping on the zip line
You can do the last two activities on the same day, in the same place: at the Mon(t) Magic in the Canillo sector, 5 minutes by car from the hotel. The first one we suggest is the zip line that flies over the Forn lake, 550 metres long and 40 metres high. You can do the route seated, horizontally or in tandem with a child. You’ll love it!

Have fun on the Magic Gliss
The second activity in Canillo is the Grandvalira mountain toboggan run. The Magic Gliss is 555 metres down and 180 metres up, it can reach up to 40km/h and children from 3 years old can go on it, accompanied by an adult. You can also put on virtual reality goggles to increase the sensations. Do you dare?

With the December long weekend, a new ski season starts and you can’t miss it. We’re waiting for you!
