Best slopes
Grandvalira has modified several of its slopes to make them safer and accessible to all skiers. The Esquirol and Port slopes are now perfect for practicing if you are getting started in skiing or snowboarding.
The legendary Riberal slope, which has seen its final stretch lengthen, has also been improved, and the Avet slope, which has been enlarged so that both slalom and giant slalom events can be held during the 2019 World Cup Finals.
In addition, the various ski schools of the domain have been renovated, enlarged and now offer more services to students.
To access and enjoy even more the ski area, Grandvalira has also multiplied the forms of transport of skiers. A new two-seater ski lift has been launched in the Grau Roig sector, specifically in the Cubil lake, and the old Pic Negre ski lift has been put back into operation so freeride enthusiasts could reach the area dedicated to this modality in the Pas de la Casa.
And to ensure an optimal state of the slopes, this year also incorporated into the domain several low pressure snow cannons that can operate in even colder temperatures, being able to ensure a minimum of 65% of skiable terrain, if weather conditions allow it.
More leisure and restoration
Grandvalira is much more than skiing!
Take a break and recharge your batteries in one of Grandvalira’s new terraces, such as the one on the Pulka restaurant, the one on the Abelletes slope or the one of the panoramic restaurant KSB Coll Blanc, where you can also listen to live music.
Another of the great novelties of this season is the opening of The Exceptional Tea Lounge Experience, a place where you can enjoy the products of the prestigious tea brand of Sri Lanka, Dilmah.
And for you to have a good memory of your day in the snow, don’t forget to visit the new sculpture in the shape of an eagle on the Àliga slope in the El Tarter sector. In it you can take a picture and share it with everyone.
