The world’s fastest ski racers are back in Grandvalira. From the 31st of March to the 2nd of April, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the winter in Andorra returns: the finals of the Speed Skiing World Cup.

The Speed Skiiing finals<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2 weeks after hosting the finals of the Alpine skiing European Cup, Grandvalira hosts a new final, this time in the speed skiing event. The resort has extensive experience in hosting World Cup events, and has already hosted the World Championships on two occasions.
\nThe competition will take place on the Riberal piste, the only one in Grandvalira adapted for speed skiing events. It has a total length of 900 metres, with a braking zone of 450 metres. It has an impressive start tower 10 m. high and 18 m. long, the maximum slope is 74% and the gradient is 200m.<\/strong>
\nIt is located in the Grau Roig sector and can be reached by skiing from El Tarter via the Coma Blanca chairlift on the Menera piste or, once in Pas de la Casa, via the Font Negre chairlift on the Black slope.<\/p>\n

\nThe speed ski races will take place on 31 March, 1 and 2 April in the direct downhill (SDH) and Speed One (S1) modalities.
