\nGrandvalira has modified several of its slopes to make them safer and accessible to all skiers. The Esquirol and Port slopes are now perfect for practicing if you are getting started in skiing or snowboarding.
\nThe legendary Riberal slope, which has seen its final stretch lengthen, has also been improved, and the Avet slope, which has been enlarged so that both slalom and giant slalom events can be held during the 2019 World Cup Finals.
\nIn addition, the various ski schools of the domain have been renovated, enlarged and now offer more services to students.
\nTo access and enjoy even more the ski area, Grandvalira has also multiplied the forms of transport of skiers. A new two-seater ski lift has been launched in the Grau Roig sector, specifically in the Cubil lake, and the old Pic Negre ski lift has been put back into operation so freeride enthusiasts could reach the area dedicated to this modality in the Pas de la Casa.
\nAnd to ensure an optimal state of the slopes, this year also incorporated into the domain several low pressure snow cannons that can operate in even colder temperatures, being able to ensure a minimum of 65% of skiable terrain, if weather conditions allow it.<\/p>\n
